7-11 September 2026
Scope
The summer school is meant to give an introduction to matterwave optics to early PhD students and post-docs. It serves as a preparation to the conference. The summer school combines lectures by renown experts in the field with poster-sessions where the students present their projects to each other.
This year’s focus is Weighing the World: gravity measurements using matterwave interferometry. We have assembled a very impressive range of speakers and topics.
topics:
- Basic Introduction to matterwave interferometry / MWI (Alexandre Gauguet)
- MWI using Quantum 2.0: entanglement (Luca Pezzè)
- Long base line MWI (Timothy Kovachy)
- Relativistic (Albert Roura)
- Real life use cases, e.g. the Greenland campaign (René Forsberg)
- Trapped atom MWI (Marco Fattori)
- Space based Gravity from ESA (Olivier Carraz)
