Summer School Programme

This year, the school will be organized as follows:

  1. Introduction to basic experimental techniques for the preparation and manipulation of ultracold atomic samples for atom interferometry experiments with a specific attention to cooling methods.
  2. Description of main interferometric schemes for the detection of classical fields and inertial forces.
  3. Study of atom interferomtry sensitivity to general relativity effects.
  4. Principles of phase detection in atom interferometry and description of quantum entanglement as a tool to surpass the shot-noise limit in the phase sensitivity.
  5. Presentation of basic case studies of long-baseline terrestrial setups, spaceborne architectures, and compact trapped-atom interferometers.

Social Dinner

The School social dinner will take place at the beautiful seaside restaurant Canessa, featuring a seafood-based menu for those who wish to enjoy it. The social dinner is included in the School+Conference fees.
