Olivier Carraz graduated with a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Observatoire de Paris in 2009. 

He started his career at the European Space Agency in 2012 as a Future Missions Engineer in the Directorate of Earth Observation Programme. He worked on the design of quantum inertial sensors for future space gravity mission. 

Since 2023 he is giving support to technology development and qualification of quantum sensors for several area of interests of ESA (Earth Sciences, Navigation, Space exploration, Fundamental Physics,…).
