Senior researcher at the National Institute of Optics (INO-CNR)

Luca Pezzè received his PhD from the University of Trento in 2007. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut d’Optique (Palaiseau, France) from 2007 to 2011, and since 2011 he is a researcher at the National Institute of Optics (INO-CNR), where he has served as Senior Researcher since 2019. He is the author of about 80 papers in journals including Nature, Science, Nature Physics, and Physical Review Letters, with more than 10,000 citations
His research focuses on theoretical quantum sensing, especially exploiting squeezing and entanglement for precision measurements, with atomic and optical interferometers. His expertise also includes the theory of quantum gases.
