Founded in 1991, LENS is a center of excellence unique in Italy, bringing together physicists, chemists, and biologists to conduct cutting-edge research in light\u2013matter interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its main research areas include quantum optics, ultracold atoms, photonics, biophysics, and advanced spectroscopy. LENS hosts state-of-the-art laboratories and large-scale research infrastructures, and it is actively involved in numerous national and international projects.
