He is currently co-chairing the advisory group for Physical Sciences of the European Space Agency (ESA) and is an ex officio member of ESA&#8217;s Space Science Advisory Committee. He is also the co-leader of the working group on \u201cGravitational Quantum Physics and Metrology\u201d of the EU COST Action&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rqi-cost.org\/\"><em>Relativistic Quantum Information<\/em><\/a>.<br><br>His research interests and previous research experience span a wide range of topics including non-equilibrium quantum field theory, open quantum systems, cosmology and black hole physics.
