It serves as a preparation to the conference. The origins of the Archanes date back more than <strong>five millennia <\/strong>to the Minoan period (This is where the pottery used in the labyrinth of Knossos were made).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The village itself is beautifully restored with a lovely central square. There are state of the art conference facilities. Students will be housed in a few small hotels in the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">venue<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Next to the village square there is a state of the art conference center for about 50 participants. Food will be served on the square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">accommodation<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>At the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.matterwaveoptics.eu\/FOMO2024\/summer-school-registration\/\">Summer School registration<\/a>&nbsp;we will provide you with a list of recommended accommodation for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.matterwaveoptics.eu\/FOMO2024\/summer-school\/\">summer school<\/a>&nbsp;<em>and&nbsp;<\/em>for the conference, where we have negotiated special prices. Most are within walking distance. A bus service will be provided in the morning and evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">scholarships<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matterwaveoptics.eu\/FOMO2024\/scholarships\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"219\">scholarships available<\/a> thanks to the ONR.
